Abstract
The aim of this work is to study the existence and properties of a diffraction tree propagation of an optical field in a third order nonlinear material. It is well known that one of the phenomena which demonstrate the diffraction during the propagation in a tree space is the transverse spreading of a generally distributed field, which corresponds to non zero flow of the energy in the transverse direction. In this way we can define a diffraction free field the one for which during propagation the transverse flow of energy is zero.
