Abstract
Blending of existing polymers to obtain a miscible mixture is widely being considered as a low capital cost route to new materials. Miscible mixtures of amorphous polymers are single phase and optically transparent, and they usually show improved mechanical properties of the pure components (1,2). Above all, miscible blends are characterized by a single, composition dependent, glass transition temperature, Tg.
