Abstract
Among the many differences between the C57BL/6J and A/J inbred mouse strains are several differences in behavior. In an effort to understand aspects of the mechanisms underlying these behavioral differences, we have constructed a series of A↔C57 chimeras. Study of the chimeras should allow us to find out (i) whether any of the behaviors are governed by single cells or single clones, (ii) how many distinct, independently controlled differences underlie the behaviors we measure, and (iii) which tissues control the behaviors.
