Abstract
Diabetic neuropathy is a common complication of diabetes that is incurable at present. The likelihood of clinical manifestations increases with the duration and severity of the hyperglycemia.1–7Apart from the beneficial effects of insulin by continuous infusion8,9 or the alcohol myoinositol, 10–13 the only other drugs tried with questionable benefit in clinical diabetic neuropathy are isaxonine and sorbinil. 15–18
