Abstract
In order to develop “Intelligent Fluorescence Optical Sensors” (INFOS) for better stability and an improved microprocessor compatibility we have combined the optical sensors, the so-called optodes (1, 2) with integrated excitation source and fluorescence detection device on semiconductor basis. These INFOS can be applied for the analysis of various substances such as oxygen, carbon dioxide, and hydrogen ion activities (3, 4).
