Abstract
Taking in account all the main barriers to solve in the modern manufacturing, especially for small and medium enterprises, a new advanced manufacturing model based on the assumptions and main concepts of Cloud Computing applied to manufacturing, came up. As its name, Cloud Manufacturing (CMfg) is a “Cloud” of concepts and technologies assembled together with existing manufacturing models, to provide a service-oriented manufacturing model. In a first time, the paper identifies the background and aspects of CMfg, and defines the principal, model and architecture to develop further research contents. In the frame of CMfg, it is a key objective to insure the ability of different services and organizations to work together and inter-operate in order to deliver the required service to the demander. The current paper proposes a new Business Process Model, defining the business communication, transaction and execution processes occurring in a CMfg Environment, between the CMfg Platform, Resource Service Demander (RSD) and Resource Service Provider (RSP). Meanwhile, CMfg includes new challenges concerning the interoperability domain defintion, especially toward the Order Processing in the business transaction. This paper will discuss issues to identify and formulate the technical data and constraints involved in the Order Processing decomposition phase.
