Abstract

Pilonidal disorders such as cyst, abscess, and sinus are not uncommon. The history will provide the thoughts of pilonidal disease in the 1800s. The symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment are discussed in general terms. Recurrence after surgery does occur. The author’s manner of treatment is discussed.
