Abstract

In this paper, a new power system stabilizer, which guarantees the voltage regulation as well, is designed using a simple neuron structure. The Neuro-controller is trained on-line based on a modified function. It consists of one neuron, one weight, hard limit activation function, and a constant input. Some simulation studies on a nonlinear third order generator model with the proposed neuro-controller are provided. The obtained results demonstrate the effectiveness of this simple neuro-controller.
