Abstract

The quality-related characteristics cannot sometimes be represented in numerical form, such as characteristics for appearance, softness, color, etc. In this case fuzzy set theory can handle this problem. This chapter develops fuzzy control charts for linguistic data. Later, unnatural pattern analyses are made using the probability of a fuzzy event. Unnaturalness of the linguistic data is searched with an intelligent data mining procedure.
