The International Journal of Early Childhood invites researchers from different disciplines and theoretical perspectives to contribute to a themed issue on international perspectives on policy in early childhood care and education. Researchers are invited to submit papers which examine and critically analyse national early childhood care and education policies in the context of global trends and developments, such as (but not limited to) migration; marketisation; and commercialisation; the international dissemination of research; wealth disparities between nations; and the influence of world policy institutions and instruments. Of particular interest are impacts upon children’s right to early childhood education; culturally responsive care and education contexts; and understandings of social justice and citizenship. We welcome contributions from a variety of disciplines and theoretical positions.
