Résumé
L’implantation de prothèses transtumorales représente un enjeu important chez les malades ayant un cancer occlusif du colon. L’utilisation de prothèses métalliques autoexpansibles permet de diminuer la morbidité et facilite la chirurgie élective des malades en occlusion. Cependant, l’utilisation de prothèses expansibles dans le traitement des sténoses bénignes reste à évaluer.
Abstract
Stenting poses a major challenge in the treatment of patients with malignant obstruction of the colon. The implantation of a self-expanding metallic stent results in lower morbidity and makes elective surgery easier. However, the use of this type of device to treat benign intestinal strictures remains to be evaluated.
