Class I phosphoinositide 3-kinases control sustained NADPH oxidase activation in adherent neutrophils
2020, Biochemical PharmacologyCitation Excerpt :The PX domain has two binding pockets: one binds phosphatidylinositol (3,4)-bisphosphate (PI(3,4)P2), and the other binds to phosphatidylserine (PS) and phosphatidic acid (PA) [15]. This allows the PX domain of p47phox to bind PS, PA and PI(3,4)P2 of the cytosolic leaflet of membrane [15,16]. PI(3,4)P2, as well as phosphatidylinositol (3,4,5)-trisphosphate (PIP3), are produced by class I PI3Ks upon neutrophil activation.
