Role of prodomain in importin-mediated nuclear localization and activation of caspase-2
2003, Journal of Biological ChemistryCitation Excerpt :GFP expression constructs (2 μg of total DNA) were transfected into cells using the FuGENE 6 reagent (Roche Molecular Biochemicals) according to the manufacturer's protocol. Cells were scored for apoptotic morphology 24 h after transfection using a fluorescence microscope (Olympus BH2-RFCA), as described previously (15, 16). Cells transfected with GFP fusion constructs were fixed in 4% paraformaldehyde for 30 min and then photographed using a camera mounted on the fluorescence microscope.
