Anti-inflammation of epicatechin mediated by TMEM35A and TMPO in bovine mammary epithelial cell line cells and mouse mammary gland
2021, Journal of Dairy ScienceCitation Excerpt :A key finding of our work involves the identification of TMEM35A and TMPO as regulators upstream of NF-κB through transcriptomic and proteomic analyses. Protein TMEM35A is a 4-pass transmembrane protein belonging to transmembrane protein family, which plays a critical role in transepithelial ion transport and the metastatic process of modulating cancer cell (Kennedy et al., 2016; Shen et al., 2018; Marx et al., 2020), whereas TMPO is a thymic hormone and inner nuclear membrane protein, which interacts with BAF and laminas to regulate the organization of the nuclear structure and the dynamics of the cell cycle (Harris et al., 1995). Previous investigations further indicate the involvement of the evolutionarily conserved TMEM35 in HPA axis and limbic circuitry as well as in osteosarcoma cell growth, migration, and invasion through regulation of the cell cycle progression (Huang et al., 2016; Kennedy et al., 2016).
